The main ingredient still used since 1968 is sambal tumis. About 40 kilograms of noodles are used. The price of a plate of noodles is very affordable at only RM2.30.
The name Mee Bodo was inspired by one of Mr. Hassan’s friends who stopped to eat at the shop about 20 years ago. A friend of Mr. Hassan jokingly said the name of Mee Bodo as the preparation of this noodle is very simple. Therefore, the name of the noodles continues to be used to this day.
