There’s something super special about the cafe culture in Malacca. Safe to say, Malaccans appreciate a really nice, aesthetically pleasing cafe space. When a cafe has a gorgeous interior, we will spend hours there getting on their work/study grind and of course, updating their Instagram feeds with cute cafe pictures. There’s an endless amount of adorable cafes that are Instagram-worthy but Kafe Tuju holds a special place in my heart. Want to know why? Here goes. This gorgeous spot just opened up last year and it’s literally stunning. Their food and coffees are delicious and it’s a great spot to get some work done, catch up with friends and take some amazing pictures as well. It’s just a stone’s throw from Malacca River and there’s an ample sidewalk for passersby too, with so many Instagram-worthy murals along the sidewalks.

You can’t go wrong with Kafe Tuju that has cute mozac tiles in their floor. Not only that, you can also find some old stuffs and deco prints like old films, P Ramlee’s film posters, old bottles, old books and many more. The literary vibe carries over to this pretty cafe with shelves full of old books and a handwritten menu. This is what Kafe Tuju brings to the table and it’s super popular for Instagram pictures. They also serve tons of delicious baked goods and coffee that’s impeccably made every time. Trust me, their homemade burnt cheesecakes are to die for. So better get your hands on them, fast! This cafe may be small but it has a whole lot going for it. On the back wall you’ll see flower/tropical wall paper, plants hanging from the walls and in the front window they have a neon ‘Coffee’ sign! There’s so many great corners to take pictures here. This cafe is all about Malay everything. They make probably the best Padang Bowl – a mixture of white rice, smoked beef, tasteful chili pastes and some grilled potatoes. It is probably the most tasty Malay dish in the entire city, no joke! You can enjoy a gorgeous latte called Kopi Tuju, paired with one of the famous matcha rolls or matcha cheesecakes and admire their super oldies interior design.

Worry not peeps, Kafe Tuju offers you the best price for Padang Bowl and Kopi Tuju. Both of them would cost you not more than RM20. You can also pick a dessert ranging from their signature brownies and burnt cheesecakes, which would be not more than RM10. Super affordable! So wait no more, get yourself a ride and put your waze on Kafe Tuju.
